Dr Brian E. Dubow

Brian E. Dubow, M.D. is a double board-certified dermatologist and skin pathologist. He holds board certifications with the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Board of Pathology and Dermatology in which he is certified in Special Competence in Dermatopathology.

Dr. Dubow was chosen by his peers and US News as one of the Top Dermatologists in the United States for 2011. He is also a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and a fellow member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for MOHS Surgery.

Dr. Dubow is most well-known for his special expertise in skin pathology, giving him a unique ability to treat moles, skin cancers, and complex skin growths/lesions. Dermatologist Dr. Dubow is also extremely well versed in cosmetic treatments such as Fraxel laser resurfacing, V-beam for redness/rosacea, tattoo removal, sclerotherapy for leg veins, Botox/Dysport and dermal fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm.

Dr. Brian Dubow has been in practice in Los Angeles since 1996. In addition to his patient-care practice at Dr. Dubow Dermatology, he maintains a consultative practice in skin pathology, reading in excess of 12,000 biopsy cases each year for local and regional dermatologists. Dr. Dubow has served as a clinical faculty member at multiple academic medical centers in Los Angeles and has served as a preceptor and instructor in Cutaneous Laser Surgery at the Coherent Medical Group in Palo Alto, CA.

Dr. Dubow is a native of Scarsdale, New York, and completed his undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University; he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in organic chemistry and molecular biology and was elected into Phi Beta Kappa. He attended medical school at New York University, where he graduated with honors in 1990. Dr. Dubow completed his dermatology residency training at the UCLA Medical Center in 1994 and was awarded a prestigious skin pathology fellowship with A. Bernard Ackerman at Jefferson Medical College in 1995.

Dr. Dubow has published articles in peer-reviewed journals in the area of skin cancer, specifically on the early diagnosis of melanoma. Additionally, he has given presentations and interviews about dermatologic conditions.
