Bharat Shah, MD, FACS joined Mercy Clinic in 1996 and has since developed a plastic surgery practice that includes a wide variety of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. His expertise covers body contouring, facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation and lift, as well as hair restoration. In addition to his surgical practice, he serves as the chairman of Mercy Clinic Plastic Surgery and the Medical Director of the Mercy Clinic Medical Spa. A Chicago native, Dr. Shah holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago and earned his medical degree from Loyola University- Stritch School of Medicine. His extensive training includes an ENT residency at the Cleveland Clinic, a facial plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a plastic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee-Memphis. He also holds a Master of Health Administration degree from Missouri State University College of Business.

Dr. Shah is board certified in Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, and he is fellowship-trained in Facial Plastic Surgery. As a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he has been recognized with numerous community awards, including the Missourian Award, Mercy Clinic Physician Community Service Award, 417 Magazine’s Best Plastic Surgeon, Springfield Business Journal’s “Men of the Year” and “12 People You Need to Know,” and the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s “Salute to Healthcare.” His extensive education and commitment to the field of plastic surgery have made significant contributions to both his patients and the broader medical community.
