Dr. Sauter deepened her expertise in the field of hair transplantation through active participation in international congresses, workshops, and internships with renowned hair surgeons. Her journey led her to collaborate with the esteemed Dr. Halsner, a pioneer in autologous hair transplantation, who had been publishing groundbreaking results since the 1980s with his mentor, Dr. Manfred Lucas, the founder of Meditra GmbH. This partnership allowed Dr. Sauter to absorb a wealth of knowledge and experience from Dr. Halsner, contributing to her comprehensive understanding of advanced hair transplantation techniques, including the development of micro hair transplantation in Germany.
In early 2018, Dr. Sauter became the owner of the hair transplantation practice, bringing her robust training in plastic and microsurgery, combined with a keen aesthetic sense, to her patients. With over a decade of surgical experience, she is dedicated to providing trustworthy and competent treatment, specializing entirely in hair surgery. Her commitment to excellence is further evidenced by her active membership in the Association of German Hair Surgeons (VDHC), ensuring she remains at the forefront of advancements in the field.

4 years agoLast year I called Dr. Sauter to schedule a consultation about a hair transplant. I was experiencing significant hair loss. Considering it was our first phone call and we had never met, Dr. Sauter took a lot of time for me. I was immediately impressed, especially since she also gave me tips on what I could do with my hair to improve the situation before the appointment. Today was the appointment, and Dr. Sauter explained the different transplant methods to me. However, she also told me that in my specific case, she wasn't sure if the result would be 100% satisfactory, due to some pre-existing medical conditions I have. It was a very competent, thoroughly professional, and above all, very kind and friendly consultation. I have rarely felt so comfortable and well cared for by a doctor.

5 years agoReview of my FUT hair transplant, 1200 grafts - 2 weeks post-surgery. This review is 100% free and unpaid. Why Germany and not Turkey? I watched countless YouTube videos, read blogs/testimonials, browsed forums, and Googled clinics. My conclusion: The hair transplant industry is a huge market, fiercely competitive with many promises online, intense price wars, countless paid advertisements on all platforms (especially from Turkey), and endless opinions from people of varying levels of expertise. At the end of the day, you have to form your own opinion. Why Dr. Sauter? Dr. Sauter impressed me from start to finish: online presence, communication, preparation, procedure, and aftercare. Everything was handled by one provider, thoroughly thought out, and superbly planned. Always polite, competent, and available. What was important to me: 1. Good, competent care in German 2. Consultation and procedure by an experienced, professional doctor, not a "beauty consultant" who works on a quantity basis 3. A clinic nearby for questions, support, aftercare, and any problems. 4. What wasn't important to me (since it's a decision and procedure for life): Money. Surgery in Germany clearly costs more. Regarding going abroad: In the best-case scenario, if everything goes as planned, money saved. In the worst-case scenario: No means of correction, no legal recourse, no aftercare, living with it for life, or having it corrected in Germany if even possible (Google "FUE fail"). I'm also risk-averse in this regard. A few details about the process: 1. Surgery consultation: I came across Ms. Sauter online while researching on the website of the Association of German Hair Surgeons (vdhc.de), and found her online presence appealing and professional. Her profile is also very informative (experience, collaboration with other specialists, activity in professional associations). I then submitted a consultation request with two photos on the website and received a personal call just one day later. This brief conversation was very informative, which led me to immediately schedule an in-person consultation. I would highly recommend this appointment to anyone considering this procedure. Dr. Sauter, as a physician, provided me with comprehensive advice, explaining all the important information and risks, addressing anything I might have overlooked, examining my current hair condition, and explaining what was possible with surgery and what wasn't. 2. Surgery Preparation The appointment should be scheduled approximately two to three months before the surgery. During this appointment, the exact scope of the procedure is planned, a cost estimate is discussed (fixed calculation according to GOÄ item 744, see Google), a risk assessment is conducted, and a possible surgery date is scheduled. You also receive an excellent guide on what to consider in your daily life during the weeks before and after the surgery. 2. Surgery Preparation The appointment should be scheduled approximately two to three months before the surgery. 3. Surgical Procedure I specified that I would prefer not to see any needles, knives, or blood during the procedure, if possible. This was implemented 100% professionally; I barely noticed anything. The procedure was performed personally by Ms. Sauter and assisted by two experienced and warm-hearted nurses. It took approximately 6 hours (FUT 1200 grafts). Breaks could be taken between steps (toilet time and lunch). The procedure was virtually painless, and the patient's well-being was continuously monitored throughout. Ms. Sauter and the nurses were friendly, courteous, and encouraging at all times. I felt very well cared for. 4. Post-operative Care and Results You should plan for about two weeks of vacation. I had little to no pain, but of course, there was some pulling sensation in my head, as I had fresh scars. After the procedure, Ms. Sauter is available daily for questions or problems. After about 10-12 days, the scabs in the recipient area came off while showering. A follow-up appointment was scheduled after two weeks. The sutures were self-dissolving. There were no complications. As things stand now (two weeks post-op), I would do it again, as the pain is really minimal. We'll see the final result in 6-12 months.

6 years agoI had three consultations about hair transplantation this year! Two of these consultations were at well-known cosmetic clinics, but the consultation wasn't directly with the surgeon, but with a hair specialist. The bottom line is that after the two consultations, I was no wiser and hadn't gained any new insights on the topic. Then I came across Dr. Sauter's website! This consultation took place directly with Ms. Sauter, and she took a lot of time, answered my questions, and performed numerous hair tests. A direct exchange with the treating physician is simply something completely different! Even several weeks later, Ms. Sauter was always personally available and, in response to a further flood of inquiries, offered me another personal consultation appointment. My personal attitude toward my "work in progress" led me to decide not to undergo any treatment! Here, too, Ms. Sauter responded with understanding and immediate encouragement. For anyone who is still unsure, I highly recommend a consultation!
