Dr. Griffin is a board-certified dermatologist, dermatologic surgeon, and a renowned expert in hair replacement surgery. His advanced techniques and expertise attract ENT, dermatological, and cosmetic surgeons from North America and overseas to observe and learn from his methods. Besides training other professionals, Dr. Griffin is a sought-after speaker at national meetings organized by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Since 1976, he has dedicated his career to advancing hair replacement surgery, contributing significantly to the field as an active member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons and regularly participating in global conferences, workshops, and forums to stay at the forefront of continuing education.
Growing up in Albany, Georgia, Dr. Griffin earned his B.S. in chemistry from the University of Georgia and his M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia. After completing his internship in pediatrics at Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital, he served in the U.S. Navy, stationed at Norfolk, Virginia, and later completed his dermatology residency at Mary Hitchcock Hospital at Dartmouth College. Dr. Griffin is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He holds positions on the clinical faculty at Emory University Medical School and is on staff at Northside and St. Joseph’s Hospitals. An active member of various professional organizations, including the Atlanta Dermatology Association and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, Dr. Griffin continues to make significant contributions to dermatology and hair restoration. in the last weekI took time off and drove to Dermatology Associates of Atlanta for an appointment that had been scheduled over the phone more than a month in advance. At no point during scheduling, nor in the multiple email and text reminders I received, was I informed of a $100 consultation fee. I only learned about the fee when I arrived for my appointment. Had this been disclosed beforehand, I could have made an informed decision and avoided wasting my time, gas, parking expenses, and part of my morning. Because of the lack of transparency, I declined the appointment. This experience was frustrating and disappointing. Businesses should clearly communicate all fees upfront, especially when patients are receiving multiple appointment confirmations and reminders.

a week agoI visited this office last year for my uncontrolled hand eczema. Receptionist was really nice. Provider was just okay. Tried to just give me creams and injections. Opzelura* did nothing. Wasted my gas and time. I’ll try looking for a dermatologist that focuses on people of color (Indian, African American, and Hispanic).
