Hello, the clinic is beautiful and seems professional, however, I'm giving it a 2-star rating. I spoke with them for six months before coming for my hair transplant. I filled out paperwork, they knew my age (72), they gave me a quote, I incurred expenses to travel there, and once I arrived, without even meeting the anesthesiologist, he said he didn't perform anesthesia on patients over 70. That's ridiculous! They could have told me that beforehand.

My experience with Dr. Serkan Aygın Clinic has been deeply disappointing and distressing, impacting my daily life and work significantly. There was no proper consultation or clinical assessment and almost no doctor involvement —just great marketing and a beautiful building. Key decisions are taken by technicians at the last minute without any discussion. Having a long DHI technique was crucial for me, and the sole reason I travelled to Turkey. I specifically selected this clinic because I wanted to prioritise direct doctor involvement, medical oversight, and careful hairline planning. Before booking, I made it explicitly clear that doctor presence was my highest priority. I was repeatedly assured by coordinator Ms. Zivile that "Dr. Sevcan" would personally perform the implantation and Dr. Serkan Aygın would oversee the procedure. Calling Sevcan a doctor was completely untrue—she was a technician. My procedure was assigned to Dr. Emirali. He only spent 10-15 mins with me drawing half a hairline in the morning. Levent promised me that Dr. Emirali would return for the surgery. I never saw the doctor again that day. Technicians drew the remaining half of my hairline completely uneven. Two leading technicians from other teams intervened to redraw my hairline. When I noticed problems with my hairline I repeatedly asked for the but I was told that he had already left. Not once did Dr. Emirali enter the room to check how the procedure was being handled by the techs. Hence why ended up with a botched hairline and needed a second operation the next day. I booked long DHI under the explicit agreement my procedure would be performed long. Without disclosure or discussion, technicians cut my grafts to ~1cm and the back of my head to ~0.5cm. I only realised that the grafts had been cut after the extraction and the back of my hair just before my first wash. About 30mins before surgery, I was given a 30+ page consent form which I could not read properly and felt pressurised to sign because of time limits. I asked the clinic to send this document to patients before their travels as there was no way it could be read so quickly but Levent told me that they weren’t allowed to do so! Compromised Donor Area: During the revision the next day, Dr. Emirali drew my hairline, asked if I was happy and then left. He never came back to check if things had been done properly this time. Grafts were harvested from my non-permanent donor zone without any discussion with me, a critical point which was not disclosed to me. This was pointed out to me later by a London hair transplant surgeon. As a woman, I’m not sure how much of an impact this will have on my hairline on the botched side long-term. The back of my hair was left visibly patchy and looked almost shaved - I had no idea about this until I returned back to London . Nothing about my procedure was handled ethically. My clinical complaints have gone unanswered and no time frame for an official answer was provided. The complaints person Ece said she cannot give me a time frame. Generic dismissive things like these are ‘not your final results’ and ‘your hair would grow’, it was necessary at the time of your operation to ‘slightly trim your hair’. There was no explanation from the doctor and my patient records were not sent to me either. None of my concerns about who deemed this to be necessary and why it wasn’t disclosed to me before or during the operation was disclosed. I believe that the technicians decided to chop off my hair to make it easier and quicker for themselves. Shockingly, the clinic are still claiming that they ‘only slightly trimmed my hair to an extent it was necessary’ and that what they performed on me was a long DHI technique! Neither the front of my hairline nor the back of my hair was left long. So I’m still confused as to which part of my procedure was performed as a long DHI method! This is a high-volume conveyor-belt business with almost no doctor oversight or accountability. So if things go wrong you’re just a number that doesn’t matter in this machine.
