Dr. Hussein Rahal

I travelled from Europe to have an FUE hair transplant with Dr Rahal. I could have chosen to do this in Turkey or other more affordable options closer to me, but decided to invest about $20,000 to have it done from supposedly "the best". Later I discovered that: - Dr Rahal doesn't even perform the procedure. Rahal only does the incisions which are the fastest part of the surgery. Then some technician does the heavy and important work. - Initial meeting with Rahal prior to surgery, to draw the new hairline and discuss options was also extremely fast and finished in less than 5 minutes. - Verdict: t's commercialized, churn and burn hair restoration. The focus is on maximum clientele for the clinic, not maximum results for the client. To add insult to injury, I had to do the procedure WITHOUT anaesthesia. ONLY pills! I had informed the clinic ahead of time, that due to a known medical condition some anaethetic options were unsuitable. When my procedure started, I asked to re-confirm they would give me the right one. They had no idea what to give me so they suggested that I take painkillers... I FELT every incision, every single one of THOUSANDS OF CUTS - FOR HOURS and hours....I fainted multiple times. But okay, I thought. The pain is worth it. Well, a year later Rahal admitted via written correspondence that the result of the procedure was not satisfactory. The hairline was THIN, suboptimal and looking weird. Instead of accepting responsibility, they blamed it on my care and outside factors. They asked me to fly again to Canada to perform a "free touch up". You can imagine what I did. Worst experience ever. Avoid Dr Rahal's Hair Transplant Clinic at all costs!

I’m one month post my surgery, and so far it’s holding ok. Overall, I’ll only know the real results in 6 months so will update the review if needed. But I do believe that my rating will likely be a maximum of 3/5 even with stellar results. Firstly, the staff is awesome and has been wonderful to work with. I got a lot of good information and continued follow ups that really made me comfortable. Now, the reason for the maximum of 3 stars. 1. I believe that I was made to believe that the entire surgery will be performed by Dr. Rahal while it was just the incisions. Honestly, I would have been fine with that but I believe I was explicitly made to believe otherwise. I asked specifically over email on who will be performing the surgery, and the response was “Dr. Rahal will be your surgeon”. He was there for less than 10% of the time and only did one of the three processes. That detail was worth mentioning in the response. I believe this is an integrity problem which is concerning. 2. Another concerning thing is that I paid $26K CAD for my surgery, and Dr Rahal spent maybe 10 mins consulting during the pre-op. And during that pre-op he was already passive aggressive and rude including saying “I don’t think you’re listening to me”. I don’t understand how someone can be so rude when they’re being paid 20K an hour. I had basic questions - absolutely no unreasonable expectations. He has a great reputation which he takes as a reason to be rude with anxious people like me who have been planning this for over 5 years and are getting a rude 10 min consultation after paying 4x the average price. If I knew this I would have not come to him. No amount of money is worth this insult and adding to the anxiousness. I feel like I didn’t get the attention I deserved. If someone from the Rahal team is reading this, their guesthouse has a $50 bed frame and linen that seems like straight out of a cheap motel. It didn’t bother me much and I just got a hotel but seriously if you’re offer g accommodation at least uphold basic standard of Motel 6, no one is expecting anything like a Fairmont. Overall, the lack of integrity and rude behavior to me are both non negotiable. Sharing this review because had I known this, I would have waited and gone to my other alternatives. It’s not worth it. Good luck and choose wisely.

The BEST results I could have ever asked for. I had 2 FUE procedures as I was SO HAPPY with the results after the first procedure, and I wanted to simply bolster the excellent results even more. Expect Christmas presents🎄🎁 from me for you and your team, Dr.Rahal……I am not kidding . Forever thanks 🫶. Christopher

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (pending full results) It’s only been a few days since surgery, so I’ll hold off on the full verdict until the 3–6 month mark when the real magic starts to show. But so far — very happy with how everything went! My first initial thoughts after surgery was very positive. I went in to fill the crown area and front hair receding lines (average pattern). Staff: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Everyone was friendly, attentive, and patient throughout the entire process. Communication was excellent from start to finish. Special shoutout to Kelly, the Patient Care Coordinator, who stayed on top of everything for over seven months — always prompt, professional, and full of helpful details. She definitely made the process much smoother, so much so that I'm considering pulling out the remainder of my hair so that I have an excuse to schedule another surgery in hopes to flirt with her. Cost: ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (3.5/5) It’s definitely on the pricier side — higher than what I had budgeted for — but if the results match the expectations, then it’ll be money well spent. At the end of the day, if I'm happy with what I buy then I can justify spending a bit more for something that will last. Procedure: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) The team clearly knows what they’re doing — major patience and skill on display. I did find parts of the procedure uncomfortable and had to ask for extra anesthetic or cushion adjustments a few times, but the staff were always quick to accommodate. A long day, but a professional one. Post-Surgery: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) This part is highly subjective and temporary, but for anyone curious — the self-care afterwards isn’t bad at all. The instructions are easy to follow, and it’s mostly just about being gentle and patient. The hardest part is the sleeping position for a couple of nights. If you’re usually active, it can be mentally tough to slow down and do nothing for a bit... but hey, it’s a great excuse to catch up on some video games 🎮 Overall so far, highly recommend if you're thinking about it and can afford it, you only live once. To be continued… I’ll be back in a few months to update on how the new hairline settles in , add pictures. so far it looks promising ! I'm excited. 4/5 due to high cost, but once the full results are in come ~6months, i'll see about changing it to a 5/5
