Was referred to Barbers Guild by a good friend and have no plans to go anywhere else in the future! I am very particular about my hair and haircuts and since making to LA last fall, haven’t had the best luck finding a good barber until now. Entire experience from walking in and being greeted by Jeffrey and the front desk team to the haircut itself was top tier service. The entire team was attentive to my needs from offering water, cold brew, and beer / wine to my barber / stylist Roswell, who took the time to review my hair, asked me questions about what I wanted, and even took the time to pull up pictures to show me recommendations. Hot shave at the end was an awesome touch. Haircut turned out amazing and I walked out feeling great. Definitely a go to in LA for a good cut.

BSG is awesome! BSG is home to extremely talented and kind barbers. BSG is the only barbershop I’ve ever encountered which has the enormous benefit of an in-house doctor (Dr. Justin Rome). Let me say that again: because BSG also specializes in various methods of hair restoration (both surgical and non-surgical), they have a doctor and an entire team of medical hair restoration specialists on site, in addition to their team of master barbers and stylists. The BSG shop is a beautifully designed, relaxing space where I’ve instantly felt at home ever since my first visit. BSG’s services in both the barbershop and the hair restoration division are of the highest quality and are reasonably priced, and I intend to remain a regular BSG client forever. I started going to BSG almost 2 years ago for a consultation with Dr. Rome about some scalp problems I was having due to a combination of other medical conditions (both physical and psychological). At the time, I felt completely overwhelmed by and unable to manage my scalp problems, was embarrassed to go outside without a hat, and was petrified at the prospect of someone catching a glimpse of my head. Dr. Rome was able to leverage his medical expertise and training to give me excellent medical advice, in a completely supportive and nonjudgmental fashion, on handling my scalp condition in relation to both my chronic illness (type 1 diabetes) and my mental health challenges, which were both aggravating my scalp condition. Dr. Rome took time to ask questions in order to completely understand my problems and desires, then formulated a plan for healing my scalp and giving me back my healthy head of hair. Dr. Rome then communicated my issues to the barber, who was able to masterfully adjust his work in order to cover up my scalp problems and allow them to heal. BSG’s barbers have experience managing a broad variety of hair problems, and have consistently been very friendly, very supportive, and of course given me great haircuts. Subsequently, the BSG team have helped me heal my scalp to the point where I have regained my confidence in my appearance, I no longer have to wear a hat in public or worry about people seeing my scalp problems, and I can once again get tight fade cuts without fear or anxiety. Furthermore, BSG, under Dr. Rome’s careful direction, has created an excellent homemade line of hair care products (from shampoo and conditioner to hair serum and pomade), all of which have helped soothe and heal my scalp problems, and which I use for my hair care and hairstyling on a daily basis. I don’t know of any other barbershop or salon that has created their own line of physician-designed hair care products. These products are composed of carefully selected ingredients of the highest quality, and outperform every other hair product I’ve ever used in their respective categories. I have complete confidence that the BSG team is handling and will be able to handle any and every hair care or hair health challenge that comes up for me, and I couldn’t be happier to have found them. BSG is the best hair care team I could ever imagine or ask for. BSG’s kind, supportive, and talented staff have a tangible passion for their work and make me feel completely at home whenever I stop by for a haircut. I had a great experience and will be recommending Barber Surgeons Guild to my friends. I had been working with Jeff for a while to figure out how long and how I was going to be able to donate my hair to charity, it is something I had been growing for over 2 years. Once Jeff and I decided it had finally gotten long enough, he set me up with an appointment with Michelle to cut it. I appreciate the extra effort Michelle put into my haircut to make sure I was left with a stylish haircut after donating as much as I possibly could. I am very happy with the end results.

I had a hair transplant procedure here last week. I had many consultations with different surgeons and it was obvious from the consult with Dr Rome and Travis at BSG that this was the place to trust with this delicate procedure. They treated me VIP and are really invested in your results. They even use the ARTAS Robotic System to extract the best possible follicles for the best possible results. Rodney, Mike, Dr Rome, Travis and the rest of the crew were amazing. Results will be the second part of the review, but I have no doubt they’ll be terrific. And I love the natural hairline Dr Rome created already. I’ll update in 4-6 months. If you’re looking to do a hair transplant, this is the place. 6 MONTH UPDATE I couldn’t be happier with my 6 month progress. There should be significant growth and thickness occurring over the next 6 months as well.
