Dr. Keimun Slaughter was born in Pensacola, Florida and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia where he attended The University of Georgia as a biology premed Major and completed his medical school training at Morehouse School of Medicine. He completed 2 years of General and Vascular Surgery at Duke University Medical Center before completing his Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Residency at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.He decided to focus his training exclusively on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head and neck and completed a 1-year fellowship under the directorship of past president Dr. Edwin Williams with the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He also completed additional training with emphasis on Hair Restoration Surgery under the directorship of Dr. Michael Beehner, a coalition member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and Platinum follicle recipient.Dr. Slaughter is unique as a surgeon with dual board certifications in both Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
He is a diplomate in both the AFPRS and ABOTO-HNS and an associate member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. He has attained the highest level of credentialing afforded to his specialty.Dr. Slaughter has received numerous awards throughout his training including excellence in teaching awards at both Duke and UNC and surgical dissection awards for his unparalleled technical surgical skill. He has authored several scientific publications including research articles and book chapters on various topics ranging from scar contracture scales, vascular lesions to hair graft survival rates. He is well respected by his peers and prides himself on detailed and compassionate patient care and meticulous surgical technique.Dr. Slaughter is married to his college sweetheart, Shavonne and has 4 children, Olivia, Jackson, Ethan and Grayson. His interests outside of medicine include playing sports, cooking, trying new cuisine, traveling, saltwater aquariums, wine making and spending time with his friends and family.

8 months agoI had the pleasure of seeing Dr Slaughter this morning for filler in my marionette lines and nasolabial folds. It was painless and I don’t think I’ll bruise a bit! I have seen his face work and if I ever need any in the future, he is definitely my man!!

a year agoDr. Slaughter did an amazing job on my nose. I haven’t breathed well for years especially while sleeping! I can now get plenty of air while laying down & all! With the inter surgical procedure there’s no scarring for anyone to see. They don’t even realize I had surgery!

2 years agoI was refered to The Williams Center from my General Practitioner. I had an open sore on my left lower eyelid, that I had been dealing with for a couple of years. After a quick biopsy to determine what it was, a Basil cell carcinoma, Dr. Slaughter set me up to have MOHS surgery to remove the cancer. It was a one day affair, where I had the MOHS surgery in one clinic and then after the MOHS surgery I was to see Dr. Slaughter to have reconstructive surgery. The procedure took all of 2 hours at the most. The surgery went well and the recovery time was a bit slow for my liking, but the results are fantastic. On my second follow up visit, 8 months after my surgery, you cannot tell which eye had the cancer. Even Dr. Slaughter had a difficult time seeing any abnormalities. He explained the complete procedure before I had my surgery. He was very understanding and allayed any fears or doubts I had. Any question I had were answered professionally and in a manner I could understand them and put me at ease. I would recommend Dr. Slaughter for any procedures dealing with reconstructive surgery.
