Dr. Levent Acar is an award-winning Medical Aesthetics Doctor, born in 1981 in Germany. Fluent in German, Turkish, and English, Dr. Acar graduated from Istanbul University Capa Medical Faculty before advancing his medical education at Dr. Horst-Schmidt-Kliniken (HSK).     I deliberately chose to wait several months after my hair transplant in November of last year to write my review, so I could objectively assess the results. Unfortunately, my experience started negatively right from the beginning. I had to wait over 30 minutes for the advertised VIP transfer. By "VIP," I mean that I was being waited for—not the other way around. In addition, several patients were picked up and dropped off one after the other, which extended the journey to the hotel to almost two hours. Upon arrival at the hotel, it turned out that no room had been reserved in my name. I had to wait another hour or so before I finally got a room. The next morning, the day of the surgery, the situation repeated itself: I waited again for about 30 minutes in the hotel lobby for the transfer to the clinic. While I received a friendly welcome at the clinic, there was hardly any contact with the surgeon. Instead, shortly before the operation, I was taken to a separate room where I was offered additional services. I found this sales pitch immediately before the procedure unpleasant. During the operation, my eyes were covered the entire time, so I had no insight into the procedure. Even after repeatedly asking, I wasn't initially told how many grafts were actually transplanted. I only received this information on the last day – and discovered that fewer grafts had been used than originally agreed upon. Contact with the doctor was very limited overall, amounting to just a few minutes on the first day. After the operation, I had to wait almost three hours for the transfer back to the hotel. In the end, I decided against it and arranged a taxi myself. In addition, I had to request an invoice several times. Initially, it wasn't issued to me and was only given to me after repeated requests, in the form of a handwritten receipt. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with the organization, transparency, and communication. Especially with a medical procedure, I expect significantly more professionalism, reliability, and openness. More importantly, I am not satisfied with the result of the transplanted hair. I was advised at short notice to also donate hair from my beard. I did so. However, I now have a sparse beard under my chin. The donor area was very unevenly harvested. The donor area at the back of my head also appears to have been harvested very unevenly, resulting in visible gaps. Furthermore, the upper part of the back of my head remains very thin, so I still have to use hair fibers or hair powder to conceal it. I've also undergone several PRP treatments and used the comprehensive care package with vitamins, sprays, and shampoos from Cosmedics, but my hair growth hasn't progressed as expected.

    I had a VIP procedure at Cosmedica, and so far I am very satisfied with the entire experience. From the start, I felt safe, well looked after, and in professional hands. One of the strongest points for me was how well the whole process was organized. Cosmedica has a large team, and every part of it worked very smoothly. The coordination team, transportation team, translators, and medical staff were all exceptionally kind, professional, and helpful. Everyone treated me with care and respect. I also truly appreciated the personal time spent with Dr. Acar, which gave me extra confidence and made the experience feel more personal. As for the operation itself, I am very happy with the level of care and attention I received. The final result will only be clear with time, but based on the procedure, the service, the aftercare and the overall care, I can say that I am very pleased with my experience at Cosmedica. Highly recommened!

    I'm only giving this score for aftercare at the moment. There are no calls for post-October check-ups; everything is handled via WhatsApp. How effective can that be? I can adjust the score as I see results, but at this point, it's 0.

    From beginning to end working with Cosmedica was fantastic! I did a ton of research to first decide which Clinic to book with. I felt the most comfortable with Cosmedica and they delivered big time. Communication throughout has been excellent. The facility was very clean and every step professional. The procedure itself felt very professional and no guessing. The team who worked on me were thorough and no doubt very experienced. Working with Dr Acar was great, he’s a true professional. I’m very pleased with post procedure too. Healing is going good and I’m excited to start enjoying the results. I have the full confidence to refer people to Dr Acar and the Cosmedica team!
