Update Jan 22, 2026: So I went back for some more even though my first treatment was a success! After a year from getting my first treatment I was walking, jogging, and feeling confident with my hair! Felt great. However, I think I was like if my hair looks this good now....crazy thought...what if I got a second round of hair restoration done. Just to give my hair more density and get that lush wave of hair I had in my teenage years. Soooooo I went back. And just like before Dr. Zufelt and his talented team were kind and professional. The procedure is easy and actually not super scary at all. It can take a while to complete the surgery. But between reading a book, sleeping, and talking about all of our puppies and why dogs are the best, the procedure was done. They usually order an awesome lunch for you. The second procedure ended up finishing before I could eat, but they had my lunch to go. It was so yummy to eat while traveling home and appreciated! The after care instruction they give is super helpful too. Plus if you ever have questions or need to order supplements etc, the team is responsive and always make you feel welcome. If you are on the fence about getting your hair restored. I would say do it! I'm so happy to have my hair on my head. Thank you so much again Dr. Zufelt! --------- 2022 Review ------- Before seeing the Hair Restoration Center of Utah, I’m a little sad to admit, confidence in myself was waning. Whenever I went out in public, I felt naked; my hair was starting to get thinner by the day right in the front -- a glaring bald spot revealed itself dead center in my forehead. The quick remedy, a baseball hat; however, this only hid the problem of balding. To be truly honest with myself, I did not want to part ways with my hair! Deciding to take action and after several weeks of research, I found myself in the waiting room of Dr. Zufelt’s office. Dr. Zufelt and his staff were super friendly from the start. They provided answers to questions, and helped me decide the best course of action to get some of my hair back! The surgery wasn’t fun ( I don’t think any surgery is fun), but it wasn’t painful either. Recovery was a challenge at times, but Dr. Zufelt’s and his staff provided awesome instructions and were available for questions and help when needed. After surgery, recovery, and around the 8 month mark, I noticed a major difference. I was no longer habitually doing a comb over to mask a bald spot because I didn’t really have a bald spot anymore. I wouldn’t go so far to say I have thick beautiful wavy hair like I did as a teenager. But the surgery’s results to me were a success. I no longer notice a glaring bald spot. No longer feeling like I’m naked out in public. I have confidence. I have my hair!

waited 14 months after my procedure to write this review. I am 55 year old male. I paid $15,000 for my procedure. I thought the staff was nice and so was Dr. Zufelt. The day of my procedure I thought it was sort of strange that Dr. Zufelt made the incisions for the grafts but he did not place a single graft during the procedure. That entire process was handled by his staff. A year after the procedure I had my last follow up appointment. I discussed that I was not completely satisfied with the procedure. My hairline looks like doll hair, with wide spacing between the graft implants. There are spots that are completely without hair as no hair was placed in the area. I went to the Anderson hair center in Atlanta to have them take a look at my hair. They mentioned the reason my hair looks like it does is the spacing between the grafts is not tight enough. I mentioned this to Dr. Zufelt, he stated he could fix it with more grafts and it would cost me another $7,000. As you can imagine I declined. Overall if I knew after spending $15,000 my hair would look like it does today, I never would have proceeded with the procedure. Now I wish I chose another hair transplant center.

I’m actually a Physician myself, so I believe I have a better ability to assess a medical practice that many lay people. Having said that, Dr. Zufelt And his staff are amazing. Not only is the technical skill there, they are so kind and helpful that the entire experience couldn’t be better. And of course, the results are amazing! William Lauro, MD.

A really wonderful experience! The staff were so nice and helpful, there was no pressure at all and they encouraged me to take time to thinks things over before considering the surgery. Dr. Zufelt did an amazing job, my new hairline looks natural and I couldn't be happier with the results. The team has also been amazing about reaching out for checkups and to answer any questions I've had. I would encourage anyone interested in hair restoration to at least consider this as an option. I've personally recommended them to all my friends and family.

The entire process was amazing! The consultation, scheduling, communication, surgery and follow up all exceeded my expectations.
