A Chicago native, Dr. Konior began his professional studies at the University of Illinois, where he graduated with honors before moving on to the University of Illinois School of Medicine. Upon graduation from medical school, Dr. Konior completed a surgical residency in head and neck surgery at Northwestern University. He followed his residency with a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Texas. The combination of hair transplant and cosmetic surgery training helps Dr. Konior consistently achieve convincing, natural-looking results.
In 1998, Dr. Konior formed the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery with 14 other hair transplant surgeons to bring professional legitimacy and oversight to the field of surgical hair restoration. Dr. Konior has been voted one of the best doctors in Chicago by numerous publications, including Chicago Magazine, Woodward & White’s, “Guide to the Best Doctors in America,” and the Castle Connolly guide, “Top Doctors in the Chicago Metro Area.”
